God did not create this physical universe until He was ready to create man. And He created the Heavens and the Earth, He created the Earth and He put a Garden of Eden that He planted, that He fixed which is His will. And He never changes. Thank God.
He's always the same, yesterday, today and forever. And He blessed Adam with the spiritual, the mental and the physical power to replenish the Earth, to cause that little garden over in the Middle East in the area where Iraq is today; for that garden that He planted, that He cultivated that He brought into existence and then created the man, Adam and put him in it and then he blessed him and commanded him to replenish the earth, multiply and subdue it; which had His will been carried out, that little garden then, under man's command and authority would have spread until it encompassed the entire earth. That was the plan of God.
I am totally convinced, I mean you couldn't change me if you tried. I'm totally convinced that man's destiny was to carry out his Blessing and his authority under God's strength and power and Spirit and completely encompass this Earth with that garden that God began in the Garden of Eden and once this one was done, go to the stars. I think that's the reason why it's in man's heart to try to get out there, otherwise why go?! Costs a lot of money to get out there! What do you want to get out there for! Amen! Well, our destiny is out there. Praise God!
And so, when you understand some of these things you begin to realize that regardless of whether you're in the military or wherever God has called you and placed you in life, the spiritual war must be won first. That needs to be in first place. You can be physically trained and mentally trained but if you are not spiritually trained for combat, you're not ready yet.
The greatest warriors of all time have been spiritual giants. You might say "do you mean Alexander the Great was a spiritual giant?" No, Alexander was not a great warrior. That's not 'great', just because a man wants to just go kick the slats out of everybody and take over their territory. That's not a righteous war. No, no, that's not the kind of war I'm talking about. That's the kind of people God rises up and stops. And I'm on His side, Amen! I want to make that real clear right now. I'm not going to war without Jesus. And with Him, hmm that's fine, but without Him, no, I'm just not going, thank you very much. Amen!
Now, let's go to some Scripture and settle some things. There are some old sacred cows that really just need to be knocked in the head. And this is one old heifer that's got to go...Thou shalt not kill. (Exodus 20: 13)...Oh Lord. 'Well, I just don't see how you can be a soldier and be a Christian at the same time'; I don't see how you can be a soldier and not be a Christian. And you can not be a Word Christian and not be a soldier willing to go. There are ten different Hebrew words translated 'kill'. Each one of them has a totally, completely different meaning. This particular Hebrew word, translated 'kill', literally means, and the definition of it is, 'murder'. Amen.
Now that that is settled, then we have to go through... and you know, I understand what the devil tries to do, I mean he's been doing it all of his life, that we've known him. And he never changes; he doesn't have anything new; he's a liar and the father of it. He is filled with more fear than any other being on the face of the earth, spiritual or otherwise. He is fear, he is totally fear. And it is out of his fear that he does all of these things, trying to stop the soldiers of the army of the Lord.
