Now the last thing that we'll touch in this tonight... Thank You Lord. The fear of death is cast out when love is perfected. I'm going to say that again. The fear of death is cast out when love is perfected. The Word of God makes the very plain statement that Jesus abolished death and has revealed immortality through the Gospel. Now every born again child of God needs to deal with this and deal with this and deal with this until the reality of it comes from deep within you. Remember, you sow it and it'll grow up and become. You begin to confess 'Jesus has abolished death for me; I've done all the dying I'm ever going to do.'
For a believer, see you are a spirit, you don't have a spirit, you are a spirit. You have a soul made up of your will, your mind and your emotions and your soul is lodged in your spirit and resides in your physical body. Now you can live without your body but your body can't live without you. Amen? Oh yeah to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And once you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, death and its sting has been abolished because you are alive, He's alive and you're alive, and He's alive in you and His Word is alive in you and His Name is alive in you and His Spirit is alive in you. And you need to dwell on that and meditate in that until it becomes so real on the inside of you that the reality of it begins to flush out or cast out the fear of death. Now I don't care who you are. On the field of combat, police officer, car business, preacher, mother, daddy, teacher; I don't care who you are. The fear of death, the scripture says, 'we have been delivered...' I'm going to turn over there. I want you to read it. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he [Jesus] also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews 2:14-15)
Amen, I'm telling you there it is right there. And then of course 2 Timothy 1:10 said Jesus has abolished death and revealed immortality through the gospel. Fear of death causes people to make bad decisions. Amen? Fear is the spiritual force of failure. I don't care if you're on the battlefield (wherever you are, it's a battlefield) but most particularly if men and women's lives are in your hands. But this is true in the decisions of life. If you can make decisions without the fear of death, you're not subject to bondage. You are subject to the anointing however [laughs]. Amen! It's when people withdraw and draw back and not obey God that you're in danger.
To hesitate is to die. Oh particularly on the battlefield. You hesitate, you're dead, like the old gunfighter saying, 'You blink, you die in the dark.' There's a lot of truth to that now, brother. You blink spiritually and the devil'll kill you while your eyes are shut. The Lord calls you to do something... 'Oh Lord, I'm not qualified to do that!' You're telling God you're not qualified? As if He don't already know! 'Oh yes Lord, you need to find someone else.' No. Thank God He called you. He's qualified! Your qualifications are in Him, that's what General Currie told me. Amen. Your qualifications are in Him, glory to God, He'll qualify you. Oh glory to God for evermore. You've heard me say this before, I'm going to be guilty of saying it again. To die it ain't any more than that, you can't really tell you did it except it don't hurt anymore. Amen. The apostle Paul wrote and said when he was caught up into Heaven, he said 'whether I was in my body or not I couldn't tell.'
